This was one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at, period. Went here as a trio and was really looking forward to it, to begin with. It truly felt like I was welcomed in my own home, seated like a local, being cared for by a very nice young man who even shared a number of words in our own language, which was very sweet. The food was absolutely stunning, well executed and cooked to perfection. We had their house wine (really recommend it, the white) which is ideal for a group, a very tasty antipasti, then our main dishes in a combination of tastes consisting of a Pappardelle with wild board, Stewed Beef with a side of roasted potatoes and a Home made Lasagna. I’m at a loss for words to describe the taste, which was nothing short of heavenly. To end the evening, and our filled stomachs, we decided to also get Tiramisu. Super airy, creamy and ideal after such a hearty meal. The location is iconic, as the same family has run the Trattoria since 1911, and you can feel it in every way! We are coming back here on each and every occasion when we’ll be visiting Firenze again. To the current owner and the staff, grazie di cuore. You made our trip that much more beautiful, and sincerely touched my heart.

Went here to try local cuisine. Had the ribollita and tripe with tomato. Simple dishes, nothing fancy. They were good. Ended up full with the two plates. Not expensive. Service was fast. Adjacent tables had the steak. It smelled delicious. Next time!! Went for a second time with family. Had some new dishes. Very good pumpkin risotto and carbonara. Palomino pasta good as well. Tiramisu not very tasty.
Check all of the boxes here for a great Italian dining experience. The wait staff were so friendly and the food and wine were great. We had the gnocchi and walnut cream sauce, lasagne, and beef stew. We made reservations based on the reviews and it lived up to all expectations. Grazie mille!
This place was a perfect spot for lunch. I had their fresh pappardelle with ragu, and it’s a must! The staff was hands down the sweetest group of people, they even surprised me at the end of my meal with a sweet almond biscotti and cream, it was delightful. Affordable and cozy, this is a must visit for local Florentine dishes.
Had dinner here with my daughter. We shared the wild boar ragu, and the signature steak Florentino. Both were delicious. Although we do not speak Italian well, the staff was patient and friendly. I like the flavor of big game, so I enjoyed the wild boar rage. The steak was good. Not over seasoned, and cooked traditionally rare.
Our hostess recommended if we were in the area - Amazing experience. The Gnocchi was the best we’ve had, the Florentine steak was amazing as were the beans with oil and roasted potatoes. We got in a little early and beat the lunch rush.
The food was phenomenal. We had the Gnocchi with walnuts and the rigatoni with tomato sauce (which is actually creamy and not just tomatoes). both dishes were bursting in flavor and cooked to perfection. Some of the best gnocchi we’ve ever had. and the prices were super reasonable. our bill was 32€, incredibly affordable and delicious. will definitely be back again and recommend to anyone i know who will be visiting Florence.
We marked this place as one to try right away because of all the good reviews and super close to our stay. The food was really good, exactly what we wanted. Homemade pasta, perfect meatballs, delicious grilled vegetables, fairly priced wine by the glass. The service was friendly and efficient. We sat outside for lunch, next time will make a reservation and sit inside. They close at 2:30 for lunch, so keep that in mind. We'll try dinner next time. Thank you for a very nice meal! We are here for 2 weeks, so we will be back!! Also, other reviews mention it's out of the way but it is very easy to find and right in the historic center.
